Service Description
This course is designed for adults who have little to no prior swimming experience, or who would like to learn the basic swim skills in a structured and supportive environment. The goal of the course is to provide participants with the fundamental swim techniques and water confidence to enjoy being in the water. Over the course of weekly sessions, participants will learn: - Proper breathing mechanics for swimming - Floating and buoyancy control - Kick techniques for propulsion - Arm and hand movements for paddling - Basic strokes and navigation in the water - Water safety and confidence building Each class will involve a mix of instruction, practice time, and feedback from the instructor. The small class size allows for individualized attention and support as participants work to develop their skills. No prior swimming experience is required. This course is ideal for adults who want to become more comfortable and competent in the water, whether for fitness, recreation, or safety purposes. By the end of the Adult Basics course, participants will have gained the fundamental swimming abilities and water confidence to continue improving their skills and enjoy swimming for years to come. Course dates are Saturday 11:10am - 12pm January: 11, 18 February: 8, 15, 22

Cancellation Policy
Courses are booked in full for the duration specified. We do not offer refunds for classes you cannot attend during the course period. Once the class has started, we will not offer any rescheduling or make up class for whatever reason the class is halted by you or by circumstances (such as bad weather / pool closure). Withdrawal must be made 21 days prior to the commencement of the course for a full refund minus any platform charges. You may find a suitable replacement for your booked course - we will not handle any monetary transactions. We do not offer make up classes if you cannot attend lessons for any reason (illness included). However, we will issue you a "Session Credit" - you can use this credit to book any available Drop In Class* - the credit is valid for 2 months from issue - if you do not use it, it will be forfeited. A maximum of 2 credits will be issued for regular Kids Courses and a maximum of 1 credit for Adult courses. No session credits will be issued for Holiday Camps. The Session Credit has no value and cannot be used to offset any fees. *We cannot guarantee Drop In Classes will be available. Instructors may be substituted due to circumstances.
