Terms & Conditions

Communication:​​​

Notifications such as Booking Confirmations, Class Reminders, and useful information such as where to meet your coach is sent out via email. Please make sure you are subscribed and that these emails are delivered to your inbox. Check your junk folder if you do not see them.

You may subscribe to SMS for class reminders via text.
-
You must provide a phone number in case of emergency.
Terminology:​​​
-
Drop In Class: A single lesson that you can book without any other commitment.
-
Course: A set number of classes spread over a set period of time.
-
Class Pass: Preferential pricing plans for our members for Drop In Classes.

Courses:​
-
Courses are booked in full for the duration specified.
-
We do not offer refunds for classes you cannot attend during the course period.

Once the class has started, we will not offer any rescheduling or make up class for whatever reason the class is halted by you or by circumstances (such as bad weather / pool closure).

Withdrawal must be made 21 days prior to the commencement of the course for a full refund minus any platform charges.

You may find a suitable replacement for your booked course - we will not handle any monetary transactions.

We do not offer make up classes if you cannot attend lessons for any reason (illness included). However, we will issue you a "Session Credit" - you can use this credit to book any available Drop In Class* - the credit is valid for 2 months from issue - if you do not use it, it will be forfeited.

A maximum of 2 credits will be issued for regular Kids Courses and a maximum of 1 credit for Adult courses. No session credits will be issued for Holiday Camps.

The Session Credit has no value and cannot be used to offset any fees. *We cannot guarantee Drop In Classes will be available.

Instructors may be substituted due to circumstances.

Drop In Classes:​​​

Any cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 12 hours before the start of scheduled class else the full fee of the class will be charged.

Once the class has started, we will not offer any rescheduling or make up class for whatever reason the class is halted by you or by circumstances.

Instructors may be substituted due to circumstances. ​
​
​Private Classes​​:
-
Any incurred admission/parking fees and such like will be charged to the student(s)

Private lesson packages can be shared amongst family & friends at the same location only.
-
All private lesson packages must be used within 6 months of purchase.​
-
Cancellations and rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before the lesson is due to start else the full fare will be charged.

Where there is more than one student in the lesson, no make up lessons or refund will be given to an individual if they cannot attend a scheduled lesson.

Should the pool be closed upon arrival of the coach we are unable to provide any refunds/make up classes/rescheduling of classes.
Venues
-
Participation in activities at various private clubs have their own policies. These policies are outlined on the application form. When registering your child at a private club please ensure you read the club policies which supersede those of Alison Tam Swimming.

Alison Tam Swimming reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment. All efforts will be made to place students in a similar course. If none is available, a refund will be issued.
Class Passes:​

Class Passes can be used to book Drop In Classes.

Drop In Classes may not be regular so take this into account upon purchase.

A credit will automatically be returned to your account if you cancel a class within the cancellation period.

You can use your Class Pass to book for multiple people - friends or family.

You may transfer your Class Pass to another, but we will not handle any monetary transactions.​

There will be no refunds upon purchase for whatever reason.

There will be no extensions on use by dates.​​
Cancellations:
-
Should any cancellations need to be made my us we will endeavour to contact students and/or their parents as soon as possible via email or text.

Should you need to withdraw from a course due to ongoing medical reasons, we will reimburse the equivalent amount in Paddle Points. A doctor's note is required for such cases.
Weather Related​:
-
In the interest of students' safety, Alison Tam Swimming reserves the right to cancel classes when a venue is deemed dangerous due to inclement weather. No refund, credit or make-ups will be provided for courses. For Drop In Classes, we will refund the equivalent in Paddle Points.

Classes will be cancelled if the black rainstorm or Typhoon Number 8 warning is still hoisted one hour prior to the commencement of each session.

Classes will resume two hours after the lowering of the black rainstorm or Typhoon Number 8 warning.
Refunds​:

Should any refunds need to be made for whatever reason, an administration fee of $500 and any processing fees charged by 3rd parties will be charged.​

Photos​:

Photos taken during class may be used by Alison Tam Swimming. If you have any objection to a particular photo please let us know!

Waiver Agreement​​
In enrolling my child in Alison Tam Swimming courses I agree that my child and I will abide by the rules and regulations set out by the company. I will not hold Alison Tam Swimming Limited responsible for any injury to my child or damages or loss to my property as a result of participation in these courses.​
